Hi, Is there a way to create a workflow that will update a drop down field with a specific value on the a specific date such as 1st of the month?

Hi, Does anyone know how CRM handles incoming emails and automatic record creation when there are duplicate contacts in CRM with the same email address? For example, if you have an Automatic Case Creation rule on incoming emails, how does CRM determine which contact to associate the Case with? Will CRM always link new cases to the same Contact? PS - I know that there should be detection rules in place to stop the duplicate Contacts from being created in the first place, but would like to know how CRM handles this situation in the event that some duplicates are missed. Thanks!

Hi there, If there are two duplicate records, you are recommended to merge those two contacts; so that user does not gets confused. However, In your scenario, case would be created for the contact which was created first in the system. There is no documentation about this anywhere, its a personal experience.

Is "info@company.com" an alias in Exchange for user@company.com?

Not in OOB workflows, but you can create a custom workflow utility or a plugin to achieve this. I had a similar issue after upgrading from CRM2015 to CRM2016. In my case, I created a new email Server Profile (with the same values as the original profile) and then assigned it to the mailboxes. I recommend trying it for 1 mailbox first.

Field change is triggered as soon as you will lost focus from the text field, so even you are copying and pasting, it should trigger on change as soon as you will move to another field. Yes sharing screenshots could be helpful. Thanks

Hi Adam, This is regarding "Note that the user who tracks the email will be the owner. " Let user the client send email to group email (Salesteam@xxx.com). Person A from Sales team tracked the email and convert it to case. The owner of the case and the email is PersonA. But noticed, subsequent tracked email visible within Case entity have different owners(User within Sales Team). We are using default "Smart Matching" to auto tracked after the 1st tracking. Pls advice.

What is the external provider here? For sending emails you can use Server Side Synch/Outlook/Email Router. For Server Side Synch following are the supported ones: technet.microsoft.com/.../dn531050.aspx For outlook it can be just used as a normal outlook which will get integrated with CRM. For this you will have to use outlook connector with CRM. Just an update to the JavaScript that Scott posted above, the version I got working in CRM Online (circa CRM 2016) is: function openSharepointDocuments() { Xrm.Page.ui.navigation.items.get("navSPDocuments").setFocus(); } Note the "navDocument" became "navSPDocuments". Thanks!

Amit, We tried your suggestion and it worked, however, now we are getting errors when trying to connect a case to a contract line. I am guessing the issue is related to the unsupported change. Do you know what the original setting should be for the IsChildEntity flag so we can revert it back to the way it was? I am guessing it should be 1 but I wanted to be sure. Thanks

hi, if any body knows how it can be fixed. here are more findings: • In the custom queue, all the records are complete. • The items that are missing, belongs to personal queue for few specific Users. • Those record Status is already complete. • Those items are own by those Users but missing from their personal Queue. • Even tried to add manually these items to their respective User’s Queues, its added successfully but not displaying. • When I tried to add those items to some other Users, it is working fine. • We tried to disable the user and make them enable again, still no progress.
